Cambridge Core online platform has been designed to help readers and researchers to make fast and easy journeys to a vast range of valuable content. Cambridge University Press consulted extensively with almost 10,000 users while developing Cambridge Core to make sure they are providing a platform that meets the needs of researchers and customers.

Cambridge Core is the place to find valuable, useful and inspirational research and academic information. You can access Cambridge Core content from the home page through the link https://www.cambridge.org/core. Cambridge Core is available via campus’s IP address directly.

ProQuest Ebook Central (part of Clarivate) includes the world’s largest collection of dissertations and theses, 20 million pages and three centuries of global, national, regional and specialty newspapers, more than 450,000 eBooks, rich aggregated collections of the world’s most important scholarly journals and periodicals, and unique vaults of digitized historical collections from great libraries and museums.  

AUK Library develops own collections on this platform and provides access to 20052 subscribed titles of scientific eBooks.

American University Kyiv has gained access to ASTM Compass. ASTM Compass® is a vast collection of industry-leading standards and technical engineering information. Globally, over 1,500 academic and research institutions utilize ASTM Compass, including 90% of the world's top 100 universities.

With over 12,000 ASTM standards in operation worldwide, they are defined and established by ASTM, contributing to the improvement of the lives of millions each day. You can access the licensed content from the ASTM Compass home page through the link: https://compass.astm.org

Upon visiting, you will be automatically signed in based on your IP address, enabling you to use and search the content. You will have "view-only" access to everything in the second attachment, including standards, journals, e-books, and research papers.

Reasearch4Life is one of the world’s largest collections of scientific and technical literature, offered by the leading international scientific publishers. The R4L programmes are coordinated by the World Health Organization, the Food and Agriculture Organization, the United Nations Environment Programme, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and the International Labour Organization. The programmes are a collaboration between the UN entities, academic, professional, and scientific publishers.

With R4L, American University Kyiv’s students have access to a wide range of academic, professional and scientific journals, abstract and indexing databases, and other content resources.

The username and password is for use by all AUK staff after an individual request (library@auk.edu.ua).

O’Reilly is the world’s leading learning platform that provides on-demand access to a vast collection of technology and business titles, including O’Reilly books, early-release titles, videos, case studies, on-demand courses, expert playlists, and more from O’Reilly Media and nearly 200 other publishers.  

American University Kyiv is one of the first universities in Ukraine to provide their students with access to O’Reilly. With O’Reilly, American University Kyiv gives students a competitive edge in the classroom and beyond by accessing the latest knowledge, trends, conversations, and real-world experiences in business and technology.

AUK library provides access to O’Reilly platform via an individual login/password for students and teachers according to their required titles of syllabus.

JSTOR currently offers more than 12 million academic journal articles, 100 thousand books, 3 million images, and 2 million primary source documents in 75 disciplines.

Students, staff and visitors at the American University Kyiv have unrestricted access to the world-renowned JSTOR digital library while on the River Port campus. This access does not require additional registration or open VPN and is directly available via the campus's IP address. Essentially, this means you can directly access the vast array of JSTOR content anytime you're connected to the campus WiFi. Simply visit https://www.jstor.org and select 'Search' or 'Browse' from the menu bar. Systematic downloads of entire journals/books are not permitted.

RapidILL is a unique resource sharing system that was designed by the Interlibrary Loan staff at Colorado State University Libraries. The RapidILL team and the community of over 600 libraries worldwide are happy to make their resources available to AUK students. Thanks to the efficient workflows, the typical turnaround time for RapidILL is under 24 hours, so you can expect to find most of your requests delivered within that time.  

If you cannot find a specific scientific article or book chapter in the AUK Library resources, please submit your request to RapidILL. To complete the request in the RapidILL service, you need to know the title, author, ISSN/ISBN (as applicable), and the publication year of the book or journal. For periodicals, please also provide the volume or issue: RapidILL International library loan (office.com)

   The Web of Science platform is owned by Clarivate Analytics, which specializes in indexing more than 33,000 publications across all disciplines, with an archive dating back to 1864. Today, the Web of Science platform contains 15 databases created by Clarivate Analytics and its partners. The core of the collection is the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) scientometric database, which includes citation indexes for periodical publications in the natural and technical sciences — the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE); in social sciences — the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI); and in the humanities — the Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI). Since 2015, WoSCC has been expanded to include the multidisciplinary Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), with an archive dating back to 2005.

   As part of its efforts to support Ukraine's education during the full-scale invasion, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has reached an agreement with the world-renowned informal education platform Udemy Business to provide free access to a collection of its most popular courses for Ukrainian students. Udemy Business offers Ukrainian users access to 12,000 online courses in the following disciplines: Business Operations, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Development, IT Operations, Leadership & Management, Marketing, and Language Learning. Upon successful completion of a course, users receive a certificate of completion.
